The Alumni Representative's meeting serves as the cornerstone for sustained engagement and communication among alumni, their respective colleges, and the broader university community. It ensures the cultivation of a spirit of belonging, service, and social responsibility towards society. Furthermore, the Council reflects a commendable image of human integration, cooperation, and the intergenerational transfer of expertise within the alumni community. It represents a continuous tradition of alumni contributing to the advancement of their colleges and university.
The Alumni Representatives Meeting (ARM) aims to:
- Foster lasting connections between alumni, their respective programs, colleges, and the university.
- Strengthen collaboration and engagement among alumni from each program, college, and the university to benefit the wider graduate community.
- Empower alumni to actively contribute to the graduate community.
- Cultivate leadership, communication, and community involvement skills among alumni.
- Facilitate the sharing and exchange of professional experiences within the alumni community.
- Involve alumni in organizing activities of the Alumni and Career Development Center that serve the graduate community.
- Inform alumni and encourage them to represent the university effectively in the job market.
- Boost alumni loyalty to their colleges, the university, and their country.
Commitment and Responsibilities of IAU Alumni Representatives
By committing to serve on the IAU Alumni Representatives toward the Center’s success. Below are the key duties and responsibilities.
- Serve as an ambassador and spokesperson for Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in your area.
- Attend regularly scheduled Alumni Council meetings (once a year).
- Make a yearly “Alumni Area Gathering”.
- Attend alumni events and encourage participation in them (i.e., Alumni Weekend, Alumni Awards Ceremony, and National Tour)
- Nominate candidates for our Alumni Awards Ceremony.
- Recruit alumni volunteer for future alumni programs and events.
- Submit a calendar of planned activities and events for the year to the Alumni Center
- Marketing and developing relationships with Alumni through participation in IAU Contribution programs
- Hold meetings and events within the local community.
- Inform alumni in your community about the University and the Alumni Center.
- Regularly communicate with Alumni Center (i.e., notify us if there is a change in your leadership, upcoming event, etc.)
- Participate in alumni conference calls.

The First Meeting with Alumni Representatives
The Alumni and Career Development Center held a pivotal first meeting with alumni representatives in November 2023. This impactful meeting facilitated valuable discussions with graduate representatives, focusing on their needs and the hurdles they encounter in the labor market. Based on these discussions, recommendations were adopted to bolster graduates' legal understanding through targeted training. Accordingly, a curated set of workshops and courses was established to equip graduates with essential legal knowledge.
Conditions and Membership
All alumni have the right to apply for Alumni Representatives Council member who has not been issued any disciplinary punishment according to the following conditions:
- The cumulative rate of the graduate should not be less than 3 out of 5.
- The graduate must be recommended witnessing in good behavior by the college.
- The graduate should be active and participable in college activities.
- The number of remaining semesters for graduation does not exceed two semesters.
- It is preferable that the graduate be employed in one of the prestigious and reputational companies or institutions, whether local or international, or enrolled in postgraduate studies.
